i am drooling all over that skillet scones….yummmers!!!!!! looks like you’re enjoying some great outdoors time with your family, this is truly what the holidays are about. you took some beautiful shots. guess this was the camera you were playing around with. i’m so jealous of the weather you guys have in the States. we’re pretty much wrapped up in full winter gear each time we go out now. LOL at Courtney’s “little extra” touch. i stayed away from blogging for 2 days, and i gotta admit, it kind of felt pretty good. i know i can’t stay away from it for long though. those were two busy busy days for us. glad to be back reading blogs and catching up with my bloggie friends though. enjoy the rest of your stay and family time in Colorado, dear. have a happy holiday and a happy new year sweet girl!

  6. That hoodie is cute! Is it meant to make the live long and prosper sign when it’s half zipped like that?
Skillet scones, yum! I’ve never seen them made like that but I imagine they must be delicious, like skillet cornbread.

    1. You’re exactly right! I guess my sister and I are outed as Star Trek nerds 😛 Thanks for stopping by, Roxan!

  7. Looks like it was a wonderful Christmas, Jessie! Those skillet scones look like the perfect way to start the day…and sparkling cranberries with Stilton sounds amazing! What a pretty hike (so jealous of the warm weather!), that is a gorgeous blue sky!

  8. Wow!!! Those are some very naughty scones!!! I’m making them for breakfast some time, very soon! My family thanks you in advance 😉

Looks like a wonderful Christmas you had, Jessie (I must be chanelling Yoda!)

Hope the New Year is just as good!

Btw – my mum LOVES Stone’s ginger wine – the only booze she drinks 😀

    1. Gah! I never noticed anything naughty! The way your mind works, Denise 😉 Also, we tried the ginger wine and it is fab! Potent, though 😮

  9. What a lovely Holiday Jessie…and love those scones 🙂
Wishing you a most wonderful New Year!
    Hugs, Alisha

  10. Whoa BABY!!!! That is SOME SCONE!!!! WHEW! And what a haul!!!! I am coveting the salt plate. Can that be reused? I assume so – how do you clean it after serving on it? This is a real question, not a rhetorical one. 🙂
And that is one MASSIVE round of blood pudding. Yikes!
The photos are so so so gorgeous. Truly. You could make a poster of the one with you hugging the tree. It is difficult for me to imagine Colorado so green when there is skiing in the mountains there. The blue sky is captivating.
Well, Jessie – this will be a Christmas to remember, me thinks!
Happy New Year to you and your family! I cannot wait to hear how you bring it in!
    🙂

    1. Hi Valerie! The salt plate can be used many times (we used it to bake a loaf of bread and it was tasty, albeit quite salty). I don’t think you clean it – maybe it just builds flavor, like a cast iron skillet? 😉

      Happy New Year to you!!

  11. now that is a skillet of ORGASMIC SAUCY SWEETNESS. rated R…why i think so! that should be illegal <3

oh u tree hugger you, i love ya <3

  12. Merry belated Christmas Jessie! I appreciate every single one of your wonderful photos but I must say I am fixated on the skillet scones. I have never heard of such a wonderful thing before? They look divine!
