A side note: I know it’s possible to eat healthy on a budget. Still, I’ve been continuously surprised at how cheap meat can be here. Why buy a pound of bell peppers when you can buy a pound of 80%/20% fat ground beef for half the price? And I haven’t even mentioned packaged goods. Geez.

I rarely buy processed foods but on the off chance that I do, I’m always amazed at how cheap they are. Reese’s mini cups for $2 or a bell pepper for $4. Ugh. Exactly.

People don’t realize that by “saving” money they are paying to poison themselves.

I feel the same way. I often time worry about people on food stamps. It is a known fact that people in poverty are more prone to obesity. I think that program like WIC would be better because they get vouchers for healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, cheese, and milk. How can we educate people on nutritious foods but yet not make them affordable? Something is wrong.

I totally agree with you! It’s really crazy that veggies are more expensive than meat. So, I’m trying to grow as much veggies as possible….on my limited space in the yard. 😛

Day 3 of working from home while caring for both t Day 3 of working from home while caring for both toddlers. Not much work getting done but at least the kids are having fun! It’s stressful, but I’m grateful for the privilege of being able to work from home when so many others currently juggle childcare, lost income, and higher risk of #coronavirus exposure. #covid_19 #socialdistancing #toddlermayhem
